North Kalimantan to mandate electronic financial reporting by 2026

The North Kalimantan Provincial Government will implement a fully electronic system for submitting Payment Orders (SPM) and Treasurer Accountability Reports (LPJ) starting October 1, 2026. Under this new policy, all supporting documents must be submitted via the ReSPON (Online SPM Registration) application, effectively ending the requirement to submit physical paperwork to the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BKAD).

Provincial Secretary Denny Harianto emphasized that this transition is not merely a technological migration but a necessary shift in organizational mindset and work culture. He called on regional secretaries, financial administration officials, and treasurers to drive this change by adopting more disciplined, timely, and accountable administrative practices. The goal of the digitalization effort is to create a financial management system that is faster, more efficient, transparent, and traceable.
