North Korea denounces NATO fuel supply plan as war preparation

North Korea’s state news agency KCNA condemned NATO’s recently approved Fuel Supply Chain Capability Program, describing it as an “unprecedented” effort to prepare for war. The agency said the plan, which aims to modernise and expand Cold‑War‑era military fuel pipelines and storage across Europe, shows NATO turning into a more aggressive military bloc and storing strategic fuel for future conflicts. KCNA accused NATO of expanding its presence into the Asia‑Pacific, citing recent joint exercises near the Korean Peninsula involving Germany, Italy and other members. The criticism comes as North Korea continues to support Russia in the Ukraine war and views NATO’s actions as a direct threat to the Korean Peninsula and regional security.
