North Korea threatens South Korea and U.S. over military ties

North Korea has issued threats against South Korea and the United States, criticizing the increasing military cooperation between Washington and Seoul. According to the KCNA news agency, Pyongyang views this alliance as a component of American global hegemony.

Kang Chol-su, a head of section at the Institute for the Study of Hostile States, specifically criticized remarks made by U.S. General Xavier Brunson, the commander of U.S. forces in South Korea. Brunson had called for strengthened cooperation between the two nations to respond to threats outside the Korean Peninsula. Kang described the U.S. intentions as having a “gangster nature” and accused South Korea of playing a “suicidal role” by increasing its defense spending to serve American interests.

Additionally, reports indicate that North Korean forces have begun adopting certain Russian military tactics during maneuvers.
