North Lincolnshire unveils projects at Priory Park and Quibell Park

Planning approval has been granted for Priory Park, a 14‑hectare leisure and wellness centre on the former Lincolnshire Golf Club site near Crowle. The mixed‑use development will include holiday lodges, a café, shop, offices, a community hub, a wild‑swimming pond with sauna, four padel courts and restored walled gardens. It will create about 12 direct jobs and up to 20 indirect positions. Rockscape Habitats Ltd will manage the commercial side while the Rockscape Foundation will operate the not‑for‑profit community facilities, aiming to provide health, wellbeing and education programmes and subsidised use for local groups.

Separately, North Lincolnshire Council is working with Curly’s Athletes to explore a community asset transfer for Quibell Park, a historic sports ground in Scunthorpe. The partnership seeks to increase the venue’s use, strengthen links with local clubs and volunteers, and remove barriers to participation. While no final decision has been made, the council’s leader and cabinet member have expressed support for a sustainable, community‑focused future for the site.
