North Macedonia advances EU integration through reform agenda

At the opening of the 25th EU-Macedonia Joint Parliamentary Committee, Deputy Minister for European Affairs Victoria Trajkov emphasized that the reform agenda serves as a mechanism to translate European standards into concrete institutional, economic, and societal changes.

Trajkov highlighted the Growth Plan as a tool for progressive integration into the EU single market through increased integration of goods and services, digitalization, transport, and energy. Key initiatives mentioned include SEPA and the upcoming implementation of ‘Roaming like at home’.

Regarding financial progress, Trajkov noted that 142.1 million euros have already been secured through the Reform and Growth Instrument. Additionally, 22 reform steps with an estimated gross value of over 112 million euros have been reported as part of the country's transformation process.
