North Macedonia and Czech Republic strengthen energy and digital cooperation

North Macedonia and the Czech Republic are strengthening bilateral cooperation in the energy and digital sectors. During official visits and high-level meetings, officials emphasized the necessity of digital transformation and cybersecurity to ensure a resilient energy system.

Sanja Bozhinovska, Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, met with Czech Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Petr Macinka to discuss energy infrastructure, renewable energy sources, and energy efficiency. The discussions focused on transitioning from mere experience exchange to concrete projects, technological partnerships, and increased Czech investment in the Macedonian market.

Additionally, a seminar on the digitalization of public administration highlighted how modern energy systems increasingly rely on automated systems and real-time data. Minister Bozhinovska noted that as energy networks become more digitized, protecting critical infrastructure from cyber threats becomes an integral part of national energy security.
