North Macedonia announces new energy and infrastructure projects

Aleksandar Nikoloski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, has announced a series of new energy and infrastructure projects aimed at modernizing North Macedonia. During the opening of new electricity and thermal energy production capacities by Tesla Energy in Skopje, Nikoloski emphasized that the government is a partner to domestic companies investing in the country’s green transition.

The new cogeneration plant in Chair is expected to provide cheaper heating and contribute to reducing pollution levels in Skopje. Nikoloski noted that this investment, led by investor Ajri Shej, aligns with the government's vision to move the country into the 21st century through projects such as wind farms, a potential new airport, and the introduction of urban trains and electric buses.
