North Macedonia Assembly commemorates Ukraine's 35th independence anniversary
The Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia held a session of the Inter-party Parliamentary Group for Support of the Crimea Platform to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's independence. The event included speeches, exhibitions, and a minute of silence to honor the victims of the ongoing conflict.
Assembly Vice President Antonio Milošoski stated that the nation's support for Ukraine is “not only diplomatic, but above all moral,” emphasizing that every nation must have the right to determine its own future and partners. Ukrainian Ambassador Larisa Dir highlighted that international solidarity provides additional strength to the Ukrainian people against Russian aggression, which she described as a threat to the European security order.
Diplomatic representatives from France, Germany, Lithuania, and Poland also participated. French Ambassador Christophe Le Rigoler noted that defending Ukraine is synonymous with defending the security of the European continent, while German Ambassador Petra Drechsler stated that Ukraine is fighting for the entire European security order.
