North Macedonia Assembly commissions to discuss anti-corruption and defense
Several commissions within the North Macedonian Assembly are scheduled to convene to address multiple legislative and strategic matters. The Commission for the Political System and Relations between Communities will review the 2025 annual report from the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption, alongside reports regarding election campaign financing. Discussions will also cover the implementation of the 2021-2025 National Anti-Corruption Strategy and the development of the new 2026-2030 strategy.
The Commission for Foreign Policy and Foreign Trade will examine proposals for the ratification of international agreements, including defense cooperation protocols with Slovenia and Portugal. Additionally, a draft law concerning the reporting and verification of foreign direct investments will be reviewed in its first reading by both the foreign policy and European affairs commissions.
Concurrently, the Budget Council will deliberate on the Assembly’s strategic plan for 2027-2031, the 2027 employment plan for parliamentary services, and the proposed budget for the Assembly for the year 2027.
