North Macedonia aviation officials meet with Eurocontrol director

North Macedonia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Aleksandar Nikoloski, met with Eurocontrol Director General Raul Medina to discuss the country's growing air traffic. Officials noted a strong upward trend in both flight operations and passenger numbers, which is expected to enhance national connectivity and attract new airlines.

The discussions focused on strengthening the technical and operational capacities of the Civil Aviation Agency and Macedonian Navigation. Nikoloski highlighted ongoing efforts to improve human resources and technical infrastructure, including the recent installation of a new radar system designed to bolster air traffic management.

Both parties reaffirmed the importance of continued cooperation through the Eurocontrol Country Support Program to improve the safety, efficiency, and quality of the nation's airspace.
