North Macedonia awards ‘8 September’ state sports honors

The Ministry of Sport of North Macedonia held a ceremony at the Assembly to present the ‘8 September’ state awards, honoring athletes, coaches, and sports workers for their significant contributions to the nation's sporting history.

For the annual achievement awards, recipients include Dimche Angelov (wrestling), Aco Krstov (wrestling), Dejan Angelovski (athletics), and Angel Mitcevski-Skakar (wrestling). Trajce Dimkov received the lifetime achievement award for his extensive career as an athlete, coach, and selector in the field of wrestling.

Minister of Sport Borko Ristovski emphasized that these awards honor individuals whose character and work have become part of the country's collective memory, noting that sports have the unique power to unite the nation.
