North Macedonia budget revenues rise 8% through August

North Macedonia's budget revenues through August have reached 230.6 billion denars, representing an 8 percent increase compared to the same period last year. This figure accounts for 60.77 percent of the total planned revenue.

Tax revenues for the first eight months totaled 131.5 billion denars, an 8.2 percent annual increase. Significant growth was observed across major tax categories: corporate income tax rose by 19.9 percent, personal income tax by 10.9 percent, VAT by 10.6 percent, and import duties by 9.7 percent. However, excise duties saw a slight deviation due to government measures aimed at mitigating the impact of the oil derivatives crisis.

On the expenditure side, 268.9 billion denars were realized between January and August, which is 63.15 percent of the planned spending. Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska stated that the budget is being implemented according to planned dynamics and that the Ministry, in coordination with the Public Revenue Office and the Customs Administration, continues to monitor revenue movements closely.
