North Macedonia celebrates 35 years of independence in Zagreb

The Embassy of North Macedonia in Croatia and the Macedonian Cultural and Information Center in Zagreb held a formal reception to commemorate the 35th anniversary of North Macedonia's independence. The event, held at the Croatian State Archives in Zagreb, was attended by high-ranking state officials, members of the diplomatic corps, religious leaders, and the Macedonian community living in Croatia.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Dragan Gjurchevski emphasized that independence represents a responsibility to strengthen institutions and build a society based on democracy and the rule of law. He also highlighted North Macedonia's NATO membership and its close bilateral relations with Croatia.

The program featured a performance by the professional choir Pro Ars, conducted by Maestro Sasho Tatarchevski, and an exhibition titled ‘Archival Documents – Pillar of Macedonian Identity,’ which showcased the nation's historical and archival heritage.
