North Macedonia celebrates 35 years of independence with multimedia tour
A large-scale multimedia musical and stage spectacle titled "Silno svetnal den" (A Day Shone Brightly) is touring North Macedonia to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the country's independence. The project uses music, theater, poetry, and dance to weave together the nation's history, past, present, and future.
The tour begins in Ohrid at the Biljani Izvori stadium, featuring more than 30 Macedonian performers including Tamara Todevska, Toni Zen, and Igor Durlovski. The event is directed by Dejan Projkovski and led by Igor Dzambazov.
The celebration will expand across 11 cities, including Bitola, Veles, and Strumica. Notable upcoming performances include electronic music legends Paul van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold in Strumica, and Spanish tenor José Carreras in Skopje on September 1. The festivities will culminate in Skopje with a massive performance on September 4, followed by a concert by David Guetta at the Toše Proeski Arena on September 8.
