North Macedonia constitutional court chief calls attacks a compliment, urges reforms
Darko Kostadinovski, president of North Macedonia's Constitutional Court, told reporters that recent attacks by police and other state bodies on the court are “a compliment” to its work, indicating political pressure on the judiciary.
He warned that public confidence in the courts has fallen to a historic low of about two percent and called on both the judicial system and the prosecutor’s office to take "radical steps" to restore trust, stressing that independence must be defended through continual institutional struggle.
