North Macedonia deepens diplomatic ties with Germany and Turkey

North Macedonia’s Minister of European Integration, Agon Ferati, met German Ambassador Petra Drexler in Skopje. The talks focused on advancing reforms that support inclusion, equal opportunities and youth participation as part of the country’s EU accession agenda. Ferati outlined the ministry’s annual program and upcoming projects aimed at strengthening social cohesion and building trust among ethnic communities.

In a separate meeting, Justice Minister Jeton Shasivari held a working session with Turkish Ambassador Fatih Ulusoy. The two discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in the judicial field, including exchanges of expertise, training programmes and joint initiatives on cyber‑crime under the Council of Europe’s project. Shasivari also received an invitation for Macedonian justice officials to attend the international “Future of Justice” summit in Istanbul in October.
