North Macedonia Defense Minister announces improved conditions for military personnel

In anticipation of Army Day on August 18, a formal ceremony was held at the Ministry of Defense and General Staff. During the event, Minister of Defense Vlado Misajlovski and Chief of the General Staff, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, addressed military personnel and defense employees.

Minister Misajlovski praised the professionalism of the staff, describing the military as one of the country’s most organized institutions. He announced upcoming measures to improve the living standards of defense employees, specifically noting efforts to secure higher salaries and better working conditions for soldiers, non-commissioned officers, and officers.

Major General Lafchiski highlighted that the past year has seen significant progress in developing military capabilities and meeting both national and NATO standards. The ceremony also included a delegation laying flowers at memorials to honor fallen defenders and former presidents.
