North Macedonia economy shows eight consecutive quarters of growth

Bojan Stojanoski, a representative for VMRO-DPMNE, has released data comparing economic growth rates between the current government and the previous SDS/DUI administration.

According to the report, the current government led by VMRO-DPMNE has seen an average real annual GDP growth of approximately 3.5% over its first eight full quarters (Q3 2024 – Q2 2026). This is compared to an average growth rate of 1.9% during the 29 quarters of the SDS/DUI administration (Q2 2017 – Q2 2024).

To account for the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the comparison excludes the years 2020 and 2021. Even with these years removed, the current growth rate of 3.5% remains approximately 40% higher than the previous average of 2.5%. Data from the State Statistical Office indicates that the economy has grown by at least 3% for eight consecutive quarters, with the most recent growth reaching 4.3%.
