North Macedonia Energy Minister meets with Goce Delčev University

Sanjа Božinovska, the Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, met with the leadership and professors of Goce Delčev University in Štip to discuss strengthening North Macedonia’s energy and mineral sectors. The meeting focused on integrating scientific research with institutional policy and economic development.

Key initiatives discussed include the creation of a comprehensive catalog of mineral raw materials for the Republic of Macedonia and the development of a detailed map of geological explorations. These tools are intended to facilitate the systematic recording, promotion, and valuation of the country’s mineral potential.

Minister Božinovska emphasized that modern mining requires the support of science and technology, stating that the ministry aims to use university research to drive economic development and sustainable resource management. University Rector Dejan Mirakovski noted that the institution’s scientific capacities are available to serve the state and its citizens.
