North Macedonia experiences heavy rainfall across multiple regions

Heavy rainfall has been recorded across various regions of North Macedonia over the last 24 hours. The highest amount of precipitation was measured in Amzabegevo, Svetinikolsko, with 88 liters per square meter. Other significant measurements include Strumica at 50 l/m², Gradsko at 29 l/m², and Kavadarci and Bovin at 26 l/m².

The Administration of Hydrometeorological Services (UHMR) noted that due to the localized nature of these weather processes, actual precipitation levels may be significantly higher in certain areas than what was recorded at official stations.

Weather forecasts indicate that while mornings may be sunny and warm, instability is expected in the afternoon. Potential weather hazards include heavy rain, thunderstorms, strong winds, and hail. In the Skopje basin, conditions may allow for short-term storms with heavy rain and wind, with temperatures reaching up to 34 degrees Celsius.
