Forest movement ban extended until September 30

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy has extended a total ban on movement through forests and forest land until September 30. The decision, requested by the National Forests Public Enterprise, aims to mitigate the heightened risk of wildfires due to high temperatures and dry conditions.

The ban applies from 00:00 to 24:00 within the territories managed by the public enterprise. Exemptions are granted to specific entities, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, Forest Police, the Crisis Management Center, the Directorate for Protection and Rescue, and the State Inspectorate for Forestry and Hunting. Forestry workers and individuals with written permission from National Forests branches are also permitted to move within their respective managed areas.

Authorities have urged citizens, farmers, and livestock breeders to exercise extreme caution. Specifically, they are advised to avoid lighting fires during periods of strong winds or dry weather and to use safe methods for land clearing to prevent uncontrolled burning, which is strictly prohibited by law.
