North Macedonia extends student dormitory application deadline

The Ministry of Education and Science has extended the application deadline for first-year students seeking accommodation in student dormitories across North Macedonia.

The decision follows complications for students admitted during the second enrollment period. At several faculties within Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, registration is scheduled for September 21, which is one day after the original September 20 deadline. Because these students cannot obtain the required proof of regular student status until their enrollment is complete, the extension ensures they can compete fairly for housing.

For the 2026/2027 academic year, 699 of the 3,498 available dormitory spots are reserved for first-year students, while the remaining 2,799 are designated for returning students. Final results for first-year applicants are expected by the end of September. If vacancies remain, applications may continue until capacities are filled, but no later than November 30.
