North Macedonia football coach announces Nations League squad

North Macedonia national football team coach Goce Sedloski has announced a 28-player squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League campaign in Group B1. The selection aims to create a compact team by blending youth and experience to build a foundation for future European Championship qualification.

The team faces an intensive schedule, playing four matches within ten days. The fixtures include a home match against Switzerland on September 26, an away game against Slovenia on September 29, a home match against Scotland on October 3, and a return match against Switzerland on October 6.

Notable inclusions in the squad include debutants Matej Gashtarov, Anes Meliqi, Gjorgje Xhekov, and Hristijan Maleski. Sedloski highlighted Gashtarov, who plays for Red Star Belgrade, as a key addition to the midfield. However, the coach noted that Milan Iloski has yet to provide a final response regarding his availability due to club commitments.
