North Macedonia Ministry of Economy announces 7 million denars for manufacturing

The Ministry of Economy and Labor has announced two new public calls totaling 7 million denars to enhance the competitiveness of domestic manufacturing companies. Minister Besar Durmishi stated the initiative aims to foster long-term value through innovation, new technologies, and improved standards to prepare local firms for European and global markets.

The first call, with a 5 million denar budget, focuses on strengthening cooperation between manufacturing companies and universities. This includes joint projects in research, development, knowledge transfer, and smart specialization. The Ministry will cover 70 percent of proven costs, up to a maximum of 500,000 denars per applicant.

The second call, with a 2 million denar budget, is designed to reimburse costs for the procurement, implementation, and certification of horizontal and other standards. This includes ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices and ESRS standards. The Ministry will cover 70 percent of proven costs, up to 200,000 denars per applicant.
