North Macedonia police arrest 17 drivers for traffic offenses

Police in North Macedonia arrested 17 drivers across various locations during a 24-hour period for unsafe vehicle operation.

Among those detained, 12 individuals were caught driving without a valid driver's license, including two minors. Other offenses included driving under the influence of alcohol and driving against the flow of traffic on a one-way street. One driver was also apprehended for operating a vehicle despite having an active driving ban.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that criminal charges will be filed against all individuals once the cases are fully documented. Authorities have issued an appeal to all road users to respect traffic regulations and refrain from driving without a license, under the influence of alcohol, or while under a driving prohibition to ensure safer roads.
