North Macedonia police detain 14 drivers for unsafe driving

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that 14 drivers were detained across various locations in the country for unsafe driving under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code.

Among those detained, 12 individuals were operating vehicles without a valid driver's license. The group of unlicensed drivers included a 17-year-old and a 21-year-old from Studeničani, a 14-year-old from Debrešte, and several others ranging in age from 21 to 49.

Additionally, police conducted an official interview with a 16-year-old in Tetovo regarding unlicensed driving. Two other individuals were caught driving while under an active driving ban, and one driver was apprehended for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Authorities stated that criminal charges will be filed following full documentation of the cases.
