North Macedonia police issue 1,322 traffic fines in two-day crackdown

North Macedonian police issued 1,322 traffic fines during a two-day period of nationwide inspections on November 10 and 11, 2026. Among the violations, 400 drivers were cited for exceeding speed limits and 302 for illegal parking.

Authorities arrested 32 individuals for reckless driving, including 15 people driving without a license, three for driving under the influence of alcohol, and one person driving despite a prior ban. Additionally, 13 vehicles were seized under criminal code provisions. Other sanctions included 106 motorcyclists for not wearing helmets, 67 individuals for failing to use seatbelts, and several violations regarding unregistered vehicles or improper window tinting.
