North Macedonia police seize drugs, arrest five suspects

Police in North Macedonia conducted a series of operations in Skopje, Kumanovo, Strumica and surrounding areas over two days, resulting in the arrest of five individuals and the seizure of various narcotics. In Skopje, officers detained a 25‑year‑old from Haracin after confiscating more than two kilograms of suspected marijuana and a digital scale. In Kumanovo, an 18‑year‑old was taken into custody following the discovery of white powder, metal boxes and pyrotechnic devices. In Strumica, three men aged 24‑31 were arrested after cocaine and marijuana were found in a Peugeot vehicle; a subsequent search of a 31‑year‑old’s home uncovered additional marijuana. All suspects have been detained pending formal charges under the nation’s criminal code.

The Interior Ministry announced that comprehensive documentation will be submitted to the courts to pursue prosecution for drug trafficking and related offenses.
