North Macedonia pushes constitutional reforms to start EU accession talks
Alliance for Albanians leader Arben Taravari said Albanian parties in North Macedonia support the constitutional changes required to begin formal EU accession negotiations. He warned that without the reforms there is "no alternative" for the talks to start and urged rapid approval.
VM O R‑DPMNE highlighted the European Commission’s assessment that Macedonia is a regional reform leader and called for reallocation of Growth Plan funds to reward progress. In contrast, the opposition LSDM argued the reform agenda is stalled, the economy is in crisis and warned that failure to implement reforms could cause the country to lose significant EU funding.
