Mickoski Announces Wage and Pension Boosts, New Highway Projects and Cabinet Reshuffle

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said average salaries have risen by 8,000 denars and pensions by 7,000 denars over two years, while GDP growth increased from 1.8 % to 3.5 %. He highlighted the construction of six highway sections, the delivery of new school textbooks and increases in tobacco production.

The parliament is scheduled to meet on 13 July to dissolve eight current ministers and appoint eight new ones, including ministers for justice, agriculture, health and diaspora affairs, as part of a government reconstruction.

Mickoski also accused opposition parties SDSM and Levica of filing around 13,000 amendments to block amendments to the Electoral Code that would introduce electronic voting for Macedonians living abroad, calling diaspora voting a “red line” for the government.
