North Macedonia reaffirms support for Ukraine during Kyiv visit

North Macedonian Foreign Minister Timcho Mucunski conducted an official visit to Kyiv, where he met with his Ukrainian counterpart, Andrii Sybiha. During the meeting, Mucunski reaffirmed North Macedonia’s steadfast support for Ukraine, emphasizing the necessity of respecting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Mucunski stated that borders cannot be changed by force and that international law must be upheld universally. The discussions focused on deepening political dialogue and cooperation on both bilateral and multilateral levels. Key topics included economic cooperation, the European perspectives of both nations, and current security challenges.

The leaders also addressed the importance of Ukraine’s security for broader European and transatlantic stability. Mucunski highlighted the need for coordinated engagement among allies to create conditions for a just and lasting peace, noting that American leadership and European responsibility must work in tandem to strengthen deterrence.
