North Macedonia school infrastructure project reaches 30 schools

A project to rehabilitate physical education facilities and provide sports equipment has reached 30 schools in North Macedonia. The initiative, highlighted at the ‘Learn, Play, Grow’ event, focuses on improving conditions for physical and health education in primary and secondary schools.

The project is co-financed by the Ministry of Education and Science, the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF), and the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB). During the presentation of results, Minister of Education and Science Vesna Janevska emphasized that improving educational infrastructure is a priority for national development and social stability.

Janevska noted that the government has implemented or is currently implementing 90 other educational infrastructure projects across various municipalities over the last two years. The event included remarks from EU Ambassador Mihalis Rokas and ambassadors from Italy, Spain, and France, signaling international support for the country’s educational improvements as part of its European integration path.
