North Macedonia seeks aviation and tourism investment from Corendon Group

North Macedonia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Aleksandar Nikoloski, met with representatives from the international tourism group Corendon to discuss cooperation in aviation and tourism. The discussions focused on leveraging North Macedonia's growing status as a travel destination to attract new airlines, increased tourist numbers, and infrastructure investments.

Nikoloski highlighted that the country is positioning itself as one of Europe's fastest-growing markets, noting a 40 percent increase in air traffic and a 20 percent rise in tourist numbers, including the addition of 28 new destinations.

Corendon is a leading tour operator in the Netherlands and Belgium, serving approximately 850,000 clients annually through its tour services. Its airline division operates a fleet of over 40 aircraft under Turkish, Dutch, and Maltese flags, transporting between 6 and 10 million passengers per year.
