North Macedonia to promote m. Uslugi digital platform in October

North Macedonia's Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski, has announced that the national digital platform m. Uslugi will be promoted at the end of October. The mobile application is designed as a super-app that allows citizens to access personal documents and various state services directly via their smartphones.

Andonovski noted that while the Ministry of Internal Affairs is technologically prepared to accept digital ID cards and driver's licenses from day one, the broader adoption by all institutions is expected to be a gradual process. He aims to encourage usage so that citizens drive institutions to accept these digital formats. The development period followed a demo phase where approximately 200 notes were addressed, alongside establishing data exchange protocols with the Ministry of Internal Affairs to ensure secure storage and handling of personal data.
