North Macedonia weather forecast: Cold temperatures and wind

North Macedonia is experiencing a period of cold and unsettled weather characterized by cloudy skies and intermittent local rainfall. Heavy precipitation is expected primarily in the southeastern parts of the country. Due to the influx of cold air from the north, rain is expected to turn into snow on some of the higher mountains.

Wind conditions are expected to be moderate to strong, particularly along the Vardar region, with gusts potentially exceeding 60 km/h in certain areas. Morning temperatures have been recorded as low as 1 degree Celsius at Popova Shapka, while Gevgelija recorded the warmest morning temperature at 14 degrees Celsius.

In Skopje, temperatures are expected to range between a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15 degrees Celsius under cloudy skies. The variable and cool weather pattern is forecast to continue throughout the week, with additional local rainfall expected on Friday. The weekend is predicted to bring clearer, sunny conditions with minimal cloud cover.
