Montenegro football team targets victory against Armenia in Nations League
The Montenegro national football team is set to face Armenia in a crucial UEFA Nations League Group C2 match at the Vazgen Sargsyan Stadium in Yerevan. Both teams enter the fixture following opening victories: Montenegro defeated Cyprus 2-1, while Armenia beat Latvia 2-0.
Montenegrin head coach Mirko Vučinić has indicated he will implement tactical rotations, including changes across all lines, to manage player fatigue following their recent match. He confirmed the team will utilize a three-attacker system to maintain an offensive approach. Defender Stefan Savić expressed confidence in the squad's cohesion and stated the primary objective is to secure three points to stay in contention for the top of the group.
Historically, Armenia has held an advantage in matches played in Yerevan, including a notable 3-2 comeback victory during the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. Montenegro's squad will be without midfielder Milan Vukotić due to injury.
