North Macedonia's Deputy PM Bekim Sali says government on track to meet reform agenda and ready for early elections

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Affairs Bekim Sali said the government expects to fulfil 9.5 of the 10 commitments of North Macedonia's reform agenda by the end of June, including the pending electoral law, despite the opposition withdrawing its support for the bill. He emphasized intensive work across institutions and stressed the country's continued EU integration momentum.

Sali also announced that the coalition is prepared for early elections, pointing to recent local‑election gains as a positive signal. He noted possible reshuffles within the governing parties, including changes in the Ministry of Justice, and described upcoming legislation on fair ethnic representation and language options for the judicial exam, allowing candidates to write in Albanian, English, Turkish or their study language.
