North Peak Resources begins drilling at Prospect Mountain in Nevada
North Peak Resources Ltd. has commenced its 2026 drilling campaign at the Prospect Mountain Mine Complex in Eureka County, Nevada. The company has deployed its first large reverse-circulation (RC) drill rig, with a second smaller RC rig and a diamond drill rig expected to arrive later in September.
The drilling program is scheduled to continue through November and aims to cover approximately 7,000 meters across five separate areas of the property. The campaign will explore new areas of the site while also targeting specific high-priority zones identified in previous exploration years.
Key objectives include investigating a previously identified deep sulfide anomaly using diamond drilling. The RC rig will be used to pre-drill the first 1,000 feet of several holes to examine oxide material near existing underground infrastructure, after which diamond drilling will complete the holes to test sulfide targets and geophysical anomalies.
