North Sulawesi Governor leads pilgrimage to Kalibata Heroes Cemetery

Ahead of the 62nd anniversary of North Sulawesi province, Governor Yulius Selvanus and Vice Governor Victor Mailangkay led a pilgrimage and flower-laying ceremony at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery in Jakarta on September 18, 2026. The ceremony honored four former governors of North Sulawesi buried at the site: F. J. Tumbelaka, A. A. Baramuli, G. H. Mantik, and Willy Lasut.

In a separate development regarding regional governance, Braien Waworuntu, Chairman of Commission I of the North Sulawesi Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), expressed appreciation for the synergy between Governor Selvanus and Vice Governor Mailangkay. Waworuntu noted that this collaboration is vital for the province's development, particularly as the legislature discusses the 2027 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (RAPBD) and the 2026 budget revisions. The legislative body aims to support priority programs in tourism, infrastructure, natural resources, and human resources.
