North Sumatra authorities strengthen anti-drug collaboration

North Sumatra Regional Police Chief Irjen Pol. Sonny Irawan met with the North Sumatra National Narcotics Board (BNNP) to strengthen institutional synergy in combating drug abuse and trafficking within the province. The meeting, held in Deli Serdang, aims to optimize prevention and enforcement efforts through continuous cooperation between the police and BNNP.

In a related enforcement action, joint personnel from the Asahan Police and the Asahan National Narcotics Board (BNNK) conducted a ‘Drug Nest Operation’ in Asahan Regency. The operation resulted in the detention of three men suspected of narcotics use and the seizure of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Authorities emphasized the importance of community involvement in reporting illegal drug activities to maintain regional security.
