North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution Sends 10 Pilgrims, Allocates Zakat for Home Repairs in Sergai

Governor of North Sumatra, Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution, escorted ten residents on an Umrah pilgrimage during a large congregational prayer in Serdang Bedagai (Sergai) on 25 July 2026. The event also saw the regional government allocate civil‑servant zakat funds to a program that will repair ten homes for families in need.

Nasution highlighted recent flood damage in the province and urged public prayers for affected communities. Recipients of the pilgrimage, such as Rantini and Alamiyah, expressed gratitude for the unexpected opportunity to travel to Saudi Arabia. Local officials, including the provincial PKK leader and the acting regional secretary, attended the ceremony.
