North Sumatra officials urge civil servants to embrace digital tools and financial literacy
Officials in North Sumatra are calling on civil servants (ASN) to improve both their professional adaptability and personal financial management. During a routine religious gathering, Vice Governor Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution emphasized the need for civil servants to remain spiritually grounded while becoming more adaptive to digital technology to enhance public services.
The gathering featured an interactive session focused on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in policymaking, encouraging staff to utilize digital tools for tasks such as performance reporting.
In a separate initiative for Financial Inclusion Month 2026, Acting Regional Secretary Timur Tumanggor advised civil servants to manage their salaries wisely. He warned against the allure of instant profits from illegal investments and online gambling, urging staff to prioritize legal, OJK-supervised investment products to ensure long-term financial stability.
