North Sumatra receives award for regional development and basic service acceleration

The North Sumatra Provincial Government has received the Anugerah Program Inovasi Pembangunan Terpuji in the category of Accelerating Basic Services and Regional Development Equality. The award recognizes the administration's efforts to prioritize remote areas, such as the Nias Islands and Sipiongot, by focusing on education, health, agriculture, food security, infrastructure, and regional economic development.

Governor Bobby Nasution accepted the award at the Detik Sumatera Awards 2026 in Jakarta. He stated that the recognition reflects the administration's role as servants of the community and emphasized that fulfilling these duties is a core responsibility of the government.
