North Texas weather forecast shows seasonal temperatures and weekend rain chances

North Texas is experiencing seasonal fall weather, with pleasant temperatures expected through the remainder of the workweek. In the Dallas-Fort Worth area, morning temperatures are dropping into the 40s and 50s, while afternoon highs are reaching the 60s and 70s.

On Thursday, southerly winds are expected to bring warmer afternoon highs in the mid-to-upper 70s. A weak cold front arriving Thursday evening may bring increased cloud cover and a 10% chance of isolated showers, though the air is currently too dry for significant precipitation.

Looking toward the weekend, an upper-level system is expected to move into the region. This will bring more clouds on Saturday and Sunday, with high temperatures dropping into the 60s.
