North Wales hosts filming for upcoming Beatles biopic

Filming is underway in North Wales for the upcoming Beatles biopic, ‘The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event’. Directed by Sam Mendes, the project consists of four films, each focusing on a different member of the band.

Production crews have been spotted at Bangor University, with local road closures planned for Siliwen Road, Garth Uchaf Road, and Meirion Road to facilitate filming. The production aims to recreate the band’s historic 1967 visit to Bangor, where they attended a Transcendental Meditation seminar led by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

The cast includes Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr. The cinematic event is scheduled for release in April 2028.
