North Wales scaffolder wins £42k van in online competition

Garry Fern, a 44-year-old scaffolder from Caernarfon, North Wales, has won a £42,000 Ford Transit Custom Van through an online competition hosted by BOTB.

Fern, who commutes 284 miles to work at the Hinkley Point power station in Somerset, was surprised by a visit from BOTB presenter Christian Williams. The win is particularly significant for Fern as he is currently without a personal vehicle due to family car issues. He expressed intentions to convert the new van into a camper for family adventures.
