North-West Italy logistics summit convenes in Genoa

The eighth edition of the North-West Italy Logistics General Assembly is taking place in Genoa. Established in 2015 by the Liguria, Lombardy, and Piedmont regions, this steering committee aims to create a macro-regional vision to enhance the development, attractiveness, and competitiveness of the area.

The summit focuses on strengthening the interconnection between infrastructure, logistics hubs, and territorial systems to promote an integrated and efficient network. Key topics include port reform as a driver for economic development and the strategic role of Ligurian ports. Discussions will also address the need for simplification and innovation through technical expertise.

Infrastructure projects such as the Terzo Valico and the Genoa Dam are noted as being in decisive phases. The event features contributions from regional presidents Marco Bucci, Alberto Cirio, and Attilio Fontana, with concluding remarks expected from Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini.
