Two people were killed in a suspected street-racing crash in North York, Toronto. On September 5, a black Audi SUV traveling at a high rate of speed struck a concrete traffic pole near Finch Avenue West and Romfield Lane. The impact was severe enough to eject the vehicle's engine block. Both the driver and the passenger died at the scene.
Investigators believe the Audi was racing another black SUV at the time of the collision. Police are searching for the second vehicle, which may have sustained damage from flying debris. Authorities are requesting dashcam or security footage from the area to assist in the investigation.
