Northeast Brazil expands infrastructure investments

Infrastructure investments are expanding across Northeast Brazil, with a primary focus on sanitation, transportation, and energy sectors. Since 2020, 12 auctions have involved 403 municipalities in the region. Upcoming public-private partnerships in states such as Ceará, Paraíba, and Rio Grande do Norte are expected to benefit an additional 261 municipalities.

In the transportation sector, the Rota dos Sertões concession between Bahia and Pernambuco involves R$ 8.5 billion in planned investments. The energy sector is also seeing significant activity, with a transmission auction scheduled for October 30 estimated to drive R$ 8.9 billion in investments, specifically impacting Bahia and Paraíba.

The Infra Nordeste event, organized by STO Feiras e Eventos, aims to facilitate these business opportunities and technological innovations within the regional infrastructure market.
