Northeast monsoon to bring rain and cooler temperatures to Taiwan

The Central Weather Administration has announced a weather shift for the upcoming week. Starting Wednesday, an intensifying northeast monsoon will bring rain to northern and eastern regions.

Temperatures are expected to drop, with minimums in the north reaching approximately 22 degrees Celsius. While the early part of the week will see mostly cloudy to sunny conditions, the monsoon's influence will bring localized showers to the north and east by mid-week. In central and southern areas, afternoon showers are expected in mountainous and near-mountainous regions, with a possibility of scattered rain in the south over the weekend due to moving southern cloud systems.
